You must purchase an access code to access your required course material online. You also have the option of purchasing printed (hardcopy) books associated with this course (see below).

Your school provides you with access to the Blackboard/WebCT course management system. After you have been enrolled in this course, when you login to Blackboard/WebCT with the username and password you received from the school, the course will be listed under "Courses" or similar. To access the course, you must purchase a course access code. The course access code is separate from the username/password provided by the school that you use to access the Blackboard/WebCT system. You will only need to enter the access code once.

In many cases, you can access this course for up to 15 days without purchasing an access code. However, you must purchase an access code within the 15-day period in order to continue with the course.

To Request 15-day Temporary Access:

1. Log in to your school's Blackboard/WebCT system using the username and password provided by your school or instructor.
2. After logging in to Blackboard/WebCT, you will see this algebra course listed under "Courses" (but only if you are enrolled in the course).
3. Click on the "Enter Access Code" button.
4. To request 15 day access, click on "Request Temporary Access." (If there is no option to request temporary access, you will need to purchase the access code now to enter the course--see the instructions below.)
5. You are required to purchase access within 15 days of your first log-in. To do so, follow the instructions below.

To Purchase an Access Code (REQUIRED):

1. Go to http://www.CODcourses.com. (This link will open in a new window.)
2. On the left side of the page, where it says "Students: Purchase Course," enter ISBN number:
   1-59757-088-5. Include the dashes, but don't include the period, and don't enter any spaces before or after the number.
   
3. Click "Go."
4. You will see a secure purchase page, with information for Beginning Algebra, 2nd Edition.
5. Fill out the purchase form accurately and completely. Your name and billing address must match what your credit card company has on file exactly.
6. Click on Purchase Course.
7. After approval of the purchase, your access code will be emailed to you at the address you provided on the purchase form.

To Purchase Books (OPTIONAL):

The access code discussed above is required and provides you with access to ALL Content on Demand course material. You also have the option to purchase printed books. Please note that there is nothing in the printed books that is not already available to you in the online course with your access code. You can print out all the information directly from the online course, on a section-by-section basis. However, some students find it helpful to have the printing done for them and organized into book form. BOOKS CANNOT BE RETURNED OR REFUNDED. To purchase a book click on the relevant link below and follow these steps at the site that opens:

Access Code Refund Policy

No refund will be given if an access code has been used. If the access code has not been used, a 95% refund will be given if requested within 15 calendar days of the start of the class (there is a 5% processing fee). No refund will be given if requested after 15 calendar days from the start of the class, even if the access code has not been used.
